I have been around horses all of my life.  I took up barrel racing & pole bending several years and just love the sport! I have a 19 year old mare that has just been the best to me.  Together she & I have accomplished quite a bit here in Iowa in several barrel racing clubs.  We have won saddles in Iowa Can Chasers, Iowa Girls Barrel Racing Assoc, Iowa Pole Bending Assoc. &  Iowa NBHA for a total of six saddles from the years of 1998-2000.  

In 2000 I injured my back & quit competing  on a regular basis.  so I started beading after I was unable to compete.  I still wanted something to do that could tie me in with my interest of barrel racing. but little did I know that my little "kitchen table hobby"  would ever become anything as popular as it is !

 I have my health back for 2004 so Sissy & I will be back in the arenas again but I am still beading too because I just love to do it & every order is a new adventure.   For the year of 2004 I am the horse superintendent of the Marshall County, Iowa horse program & also one of the district representatives for Iowa NBHA District 05. 

Oh, yes, I almost forgot my real job.  I work at for an insurance company during the work day.
